As a custom maker we like to offer a variety of materials for projecting mounts. This way you can truly make your bagpipe unique. All of these mounts are threaded on. Our metal mounts are spun .040 thick material, silver bronze etc., with a solid threaded center sleeve. The Classic Elephant Ivory mounted Bagpipe. Recent changes in the laws have made the use of Elephant Ivory legal again. While there are still some restrictions, (most importantly the Ivory cannot leave the US) it is now possible to obtain & use ivory which has been in the US since before the C.I.T.E.S. regulations took effect, or has been released by the African government. All of our ivory comes from legal & certifiable sources in accordance with all US Customs, & International trade regulations.
